It’s often said that the worlds of disruptive cryptocurrency and established academic publishing operate in separate orbits. A new project, however, is proving to be a powerful gravitational force pulling them together. The upcoming academic volume, “The Future of Money,” commissioned by Springer Nature, serves as a meeting point for visionaries from finance, policy, and technology.

Spearheaded by Max Rangeley of the Lifeboat Foundation, the book aims to be a definitive guide to the digital age of finance. But its credibility is anchored by an editorial board that reads like a who’s who of European economic policy, including former Belgian Finance Minister Johan Van Overtveldt MEP (current head of the European Union Budget Committee); renowned Spanish investor and a professional economist Danial Lacalle; Lyudmyla Kozlovska from Open Dialogue Foundation; Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO at Singularity NET; Lord Syed Kamall, now a lord and previously head of the third largest political group in the European Parliament, and many more. All high-level involvement signals a serious, mainstream effort to grapple with the forces reshaping global capital. Perhaps the most telling indicator of this convergence is the inclusion of voices from the front lines of the crypto industry.

Victoria Ustimenko-Laskina, CEO of PRETO BUSINESS Corp., has been commissioned to author a pivotal chapter on one of the most forward-thinking topics in the field: “Blockchain in SpaceTech.” This move suggests the editors are not just examining the money of today, but actively scouting the financial infrastructures of tomorrow—those that may one day operate in orbit or on Mars. Further underscoring this bridge-building, PRETO BUSINESS Corp. in partnership with the GBA Global, will be co-authors of the chapter on “Fraud on Crypto Markets.” This dual role is significant. It acknowledges that for the digital asset space to mature, it must contribute not only its innovative vision but also its hard-won, practical expertise in managing risk and building trust.

This will be positioned by Springer Nature as the seminal text in the field. This book will go out to universities around the world to be used for teaching as well as other institutions such as the IMF and OECD.
